I could tell you about Charlotte’s childhood, making crochet bobble hats for her cat, and dressing up in the family wedding gowns, but that is typical of most designers, so I’ll skip to what she does now - as nobody wants to wear a bobble hat on their wedding day, or do they? …
Charlotte Wilden is a bridal wear designer known for her intricately-made bespoke creations, combining her experiences in costume with high fashion to create a style which is fashionably quirky and elegantly glamorous, inspired by vintage and historical influences.  Fabrics are encrusted with jewels, embroidered with vintage and re-worked lace, and beautifully hand-painted. Charlotte is able to make your bridal experience effortless and exciting.
Charlotte has a love and knowledge of fashion history and dress crafting techniques that gives her the ability to make somebody’s vision come alive. From vintage styling to embroidery and embellishment, Charlotte has many talents which makes her a unique and extraordinary designer.
Charlotte started her formal arts education at Norwich school of Art and Design studying Art and Design, and attended couture dress-making classes with Roger Pooler, formerly of Hardy Aimes. Moving onto Wimbledon Art School to study Costume, Charlotte gained many skills including creative pattern cutting and draping, corset-making, millinery, print and dye work, beading and embroidery. Charlotte has received training from London’s best including Milliners Sean Barratt and Sylvia Fletcher of James Lock and Co, Kunza of Coco De Mer, and the embroiderers of Hand and Lock.
After attending London College of Fashion’s Summer School, Charlotte was ‘spotted’ and asked to join Stephen Hakes couture design team as his assistant, learning couture techniques along the way.
Charlotte has since worked at Marchesa in New York as design assistant, progressing to creative pattern cutting assistant.
After returning to London, Charlotte studied a post-graduate program in pattern cutting, with Dennic Lo as her tutor, she has the confidence to create anything and everything.
Since graduating Charlotte joined Jenny Packham as in-house hand-sewing and embroidery coordinator, and has cut dresses for bridal brands Sabina Motasem and Belle and Bunty, as well as working with the creative design team at Marchesa in New York.
With all of Charlotte’s training and experiences, you can have anything that you heart desires.
